ARCHITECTURE

This new registered nursing home provides 24 hour nursing care and support for eight people with learning disabilities and needs that challenge services.

The building is substantial and the challenge was to successfully integrate it into a traditional residential street setting. In order to achieve a successful design response Immodicus architecture undertook full consultation with the people who use the services and their carers. The input received was invaluable in the design process and resulted in a solution with great attention to design details, a sense of identity and appropriate scale. The building is constructed as two link detached homes purpose built to a very high specification. Each has four bedrooms with en-suites, lounge, dining and kitchen facilities with access through a shared garden room to the outside space.
